2017 - MFA Applicants

what did you apply for Nad?

Alright you guys, at the risk of waxing optimistic, and without intention of denying anyone their anxieties… because that’s cruel to do to a writer, I would like to take a brief moment before the results start to roll in en masse to remind you of who you are: the storytellers of tomorrow. As such, we needn’t fret at the idea of a rejection letter, because we know even disappointment lends itself to the depth of our inkwells, and regardless of how the pendulum swings for you after this season, we will all have the opportunity to approach our work with the euphoria or despair that invariably results in an even more fully realized narrative. So take a B-12, hit a down-dog, and hold your heads up high because a group of accomplished strangers, however estimable, reading mere excerpts of your potential will not determine whether you make it or not; that is in your control alone.

…now back to stress eating. <}:^)

That was beautiful. Thank you for the reminder.

For those who had interviews at USC, did your contact suggest when we might hear back? Want to see if they all say the same.
I was told late Feb / early March. You?

Also, my interview seemed strangely relaxed. I only really got asked why I wanted to get an M.F.A.; the rest was a casual conversation. Not sure what your experience was like.

Has anyone got interview invitation from FSU?

thank you!!!!

You're welcome! And just so we're all on the same page here, I'm attaching a screenshot of my email to Susan.
