CSUN vs. UC Davis vs. UCSD

Hello everyone,

I'm an international student who applied to schools in California.

I had to apply universities in hurry because I haven't actually thought much about majoring film. I recently got admitted to those three schools and I'm still thinking what is the best option.

What I heard about CSUN is that it has pretty good film program in terms of production. But I'm not sure whether it really worth to go since there arent many things known about this school.

About UC Davis and UC San Diego on the other hand, they are really good schools but they only have few production classes. It seems that UC Davis really focuses on the theory and history of film (Film Studies major) and UC San Diego lays emphasis more on art and media.

So I'm not exactly sure what is the best of choice for a filmmaker. please comment if you have any opinion or advice. Thanks!

CSU Northridge. It's in the heart of the industry and is more focused on filmmaking than UC Davis and San Diego are.

Congrats btw on getting in to those schools!

Thanks for the comment! I am also recently accepted by the UC Santa Cruz. It seems they have better production classes than UC Davis. It is a film & digital media major and I can probably choose production concentration later on! If you know anything about film major at UC Santa Cruz, please let me know! Thanks again!
