Emerson MFA Film and Media 2022

Hi Everyone!
Looking through this forum has been really helpful. Although I haven’t heard back from Emerson, Calarts (interviewed) and Columbia (interviewed), I am hoping to understand more about Emerson. Can anyone speak to one or more of this long-winded list?:

1. Where can I find more information about Emerson Film MFAs specific classes and curriculum?

2. What is Emersons general pedagogy? Like, what does this school hope it’s students will learn and absorb during their time there?

3. What is the social culture at Emerson? Is there a feeling of community and dedication between students and from faculty?

4. I currently live in Boston and am considering the pros and cons of moving for grad school or having the home life stability of staying put. Has anyone come across this dilemma?

5. Ultimately I don’t want to stay in Boston (I grew up here and want to move somewhere a bit warmer!). How far does the Emerson network span? Would I be able to translate some of my connections to the West Coast?

I went to BU but I know there's quite the "Emerson mafia" here in LA. I think you'd be able to have connections here.

Hey, yes i did! I'm signing up now for the webinar meet and greet they sent out over email. In the RSVP section they give you the chance to type questions that you'd liked answered during the event. I'm basically going to copy and paste this post and see if we can get some answers...
