Feirstein Brooklyn College MFA 2026

Looks like there hasn’t been a thread started for Feirstein. I just got an interview request and was curious if there’s anyone else on here that have applied.

I have an interview with Columbia on Monday as well. I only applied to Columbia, Feirstein, and NYU. Feirstein is in no way as prestigious but a hell of a lot more affordable. Curious if anyone else is in a similar boar.

Thanks for starting this thread! Here's our current stats for the program:

Brooklyn College (CUNY) - Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema

Hey! It looks like we're in the same boat here. I also applied to Brooklyn, NYU, and Columbia. I had an interview with Columbia and have one scheduled with Brooklyn for next week. I haven't heard anything from NYU, and it's my understanding that their interview invite window has already passed, so I don't expect to hear anything from them until final decisions go out. I also applied to UT Austin since I'm a Texas resident, but haven't heard from them either.

Wow yes exactly the same situation (minus Texas)! We should connect and keep each other updated. I'd love to discuss your thoughts on the comparison between Feirstein and Columbia if we're offered both. The big factor for me is cost, reputation (what doors will be opened for us), and which program is best aligned with my career aspirations as a writer/director. Personally
