GRE

I'm going to Christmas tree the math portion of the GRE, any thoughts?

My rational: I have strong grades in every math course I've taken as an undergrad (I majored in business), and, if my creative materials are strong enough, a math score should matter, at least in my mind.

It really is a hassle. Between a full-time job, the grad school application process - and - my writing project(screenplay, of course), I have no tolerance to study GRE math, none, whatsoever.

Thanks for the reply(s).

The test is given via computer. You might as well give it a shot as it separates all of the parts of the tests so you have to deal with it anyways. Study it? Meh, but at least attempt it. Besides if I work in admissions and I see someone who has demonstrated a clear understanding of math but just whiffed on that part of the GRE I'm going to assume they didn't take it seriously, and to me that's indicative of bigger issues (as in grad school you will have to do things you don't want).

Basically if you really want to go to school do not give the admissions offices any (and I mean any) excuse to deny you, this would be one of them. I'm getting ready to re-apply to a bunch of schools and I'm thinking back about how lackadaisical I was my first time around, embarrassing.
