I received my official acceptance letter from LMU yesterday. They consider all first year MFA students provisional until you complete your first semester. And thank you :)

Sorry to hear that about USC interactive media, did you receive an email rejection from imd?

Next, UCLA has a fellowship that comes with a $15k stipend and first year tuition waiver. Qualified candidates may have their fellowship extended into the second year also.

Hi achorusisrising,
I've got an offer from UCLA and am extremely interested in this fellowship you speak of. Which one is it, and is it only applicable to American citizens/permanent residents?

@huangwei1102 -Only got a letter in the mail last week. Though it was dated March 1st. So it's taking a bit to get mail out from their end. Having worked in admissions in undergrad, that is understandable.

@AlexBSU - thanks for your perspective, it does actually help. When you reapplied for spring (for production) did you completely resubmit or use their option to waive fee and resubmit your fall app? If I end up reapplying (which feels like a certainty to me at the moment) I would lean towards submitting new material, but I was wondering what your experience was like?

When I reapplied for the spring I took their offer to just resubmit the old information for free. I was then rejected again, so for this Fall 2013 app I sent in an entirely new application. I do have a friend who did the free resubmit option as well and ended up getting put on the waitlist the next time even with the same old information he was rejected with.

UCLA - rejected
UT Austin - rejected
NYU - waiting

I'm thinking if I get rejected from NYU, I might apply to LMU and Chapman next year. I was going to apply to USC, so I might give it a shot as well. It seems all so subjective - I just wished I understood what some of the schools were looking for in potential candidates.

Finally all my decisions are in and I can stop stressing!

AFI - accepted
Chapman - accepted
Columbia- accepted
USC - rejected
UCLA - invited to interview, then rejected just before interview

I applied to screenwriting for all of them.
