Hello! I believe decisions will come out next week. I had my interview with one of the faculty members on February 28, 2025. It went great, and I enjoyed my conversation with the professor. We talked for about 25 minutes. What a wonderful program that I am very excited about!

Hello again :)

I just wanted to give you an update in case it helps. I have been accepted into the program with a graduate assistantship, and I received the acceptance offer today. I am very happy and excited to contribute to the film program at OU 😍

Wishing you all the best as well, and I hope you receive good news soon ;)

Hello, Garwulo

Where did you receive your notifications? Was it sent via your personal email or the activated ohio email?
I received an email from Prof. Justin Daering, the director of the film school at OU, on March 10th via my personal email (subject: Ohio University Offer of Admission). He attached the offer letter, which includes details about my graduate assistantship offer, along with an intent form that needs to be signed by April 15th. After signing and returning it to him and Vicki (I've decided to attend this program because it's truly exceptional and I'm excited about it), I received confirmation of admission from the Graduate College on March 18th, also via personal email. Typically, you won't receive anything via your activated Ohio email unless you receive an email from the Graduate College, which provides extensive information on next steps and assigns you a PID for activating your Ohio email account.

Congrats!

I also applied to the MFA program for Fall 2025 but I am yet to recieve any email of an offer or otherwise.

I am quite unsure about anything at the moment. I understand the review starts after the application deadline, which was Feb.15th...and a 6-8weeks review process was slated.

Your offer appears to mean there's the possibility of an offer being made within the review process timeline. Congrats again!✌️

Although the graduate school already emailed me a PID and this was way back in November, 2024 when I submitted my application. Is that to mean there are two types of PIDs?

Anyways, I am open to any possibilities.

Go Champ!

Thanks for getting back!

Thanks, and you are very welcome :) I wish you all the best and hope you also get in so we can stay in touch. Yes, I think you're right; it's the same PID. I believe they are also waiting for others to confirm their attendance by signing the intent form; otherwise, they will offer the spots to others after April 15th (as stated in the letter I received). During the interview, I was also informed that it's a small class (around 8 or so), and some accepted applicants might choose other programs, which could open opportunities for those on the waitlist. I think that not everyone receives a graduate assistantship though (but tuition is free for accepted ones). Wishing you all the best :)

But it is a very generous scholarship they offer :)

Thanks for the message. I hope it all works out and that we get to meet.
