Questions about applying to French Film Schools

Hi, everyone! I am an undergraduate student from China and is applying for graduate programs in Directing. I am wondering if anyone know anything about / has the experience of applying to French Film Schools, or if you can recommend some schools with good programs.
Actually, I've been quite curious as to why studying film in France has not been an option considered by most people, considering that it is where the art of cinema originates and has a strong and vibrant culture, besides, the cost is also much lower.

have you heard of La Femis? It's a very prestigious film school in France

Yeah I know! I've watched it, "Le Concours". But it is a state-funded school, highly exclusive, particularly for non-European students, and requires all applicants to take exams and interviews in French, which is a bit too challenging for me.

I feel you! It was interesting to watch the whole process in the documentary though. I can't imagine trying to express all my thoughts in french! haha. I'm sorry to say I don't know any programs in France. I know that there is ESCAC in Spain, FAMU in Prague, Deutch Film-Und FERNSEHAKADEMIE BERLIN (DFFB) - GERMANY, The National Film School of Denmark, there's quite a bit in europe. Hope you can find what you're looking for!
