USC SCA Spring 2026

Looks like my spidey sense proved close enough to correct—rejected here, too. I’m relieved. Relieved that I now know, relieved that I’m free to pursue my creativity in other ways that fulfill me, and most of all, relieved to just let it go. The tension of the past several days has dominated me, humiliated me, and brought me back to my senses. Because whether you got in or you didn’t, you are exactly where you belong. Where you truly go in your life (and may it be farther than you ever imagined) should be up to you, not a committee. Pick up your hopes from wherever you pinned them, dust them off, and take a good look. They’re still there. You’re still here. There’s still time to work towards what you want.

Never confuse it, though, with what you truly need.

Are you applying for the fall or putting it on hold for a bit?
Given that GRAD Plus loans are being phased out this summer (you get grandfathered into the program as long as you start in the spring), this was pretty much my last shot. I'm not interested in pouring any more of my vulnerability into USC. They saw what I presented and opted to take a pass. I'm perfectly happy to extend them that same courtesy.

Yes, I am currently working on my Fall application though I am still holding out hope that I might get a spot in the Spring. :')
Nice. Be sure to check in a reply to the 2026 thread. :)

Hi Everyone,

I was notified yesterday evening that I'm officially off of the waitlist and have been offered admission for Spring 2026 at SCA!

Wishing anyone else who is still waiting to hear back for Spring, or applying to the Fall, the best of luck!

🙏

That's awesome! Don't forget to update your application on this site with the wait-list info.

Congrats!!! 🎉🎉

An update I definitely was not expecting to share- I have just been accepted off the waitlist! The Spring semester literally starts today so will be driving down tomorrow. I luckily have some friends down in LA who are kind enough to let me stay with them for my first semester, as I'll be moving from San Francisco. If there are any current group chats of newly admitted students I'd love to be added! IG @ben.f.h

Oh wow!! And I thought me getting off the waitlist on December 11th was cutting it close to the wire 🤯 Congratulations Ben!!! I will add you to the GM :) Welcome and don't worry! All you missed was orientation stuff and all the presentations can be sent to you. Safe travels and I look forward to meeting you soon! 🥳
