Hi! I would ask the department chair or head of your program. As someone who made a feature during my bachelors, I wouldn't necessarily caution against it, but it's an awful lot of work to do in addition to being a student and working. You might be better off making a short film only because you can devote more time and thought to it, and try to make an amazing short that is well thought-out. In my experience on my feature, I was spread too thin to devote full attention to all the elements of filmmaking, and there were things I overlooked because I was so overworked. So arguably the most important determining factor is whether or not you have someone who can help shoulder the burden and co-produce the film with you, as well as getting a number of people to serve as department heads, especially important for costuming, makeup/hairstyling, set design, and lighting (a director of photography). Mind you, you could circumvent all that and try to do it all yourself, but the film will probably suffer from that.im currently on my 4th year of bachelor, faculty of arts, program of film directing and i was wondering if u guys have any idea in the matter of: if im allowed or if i could make my diploma film a feature?
