Hi,
I am planning to go to India or Africa. There is a booming film industry and everything is very cheap.
The problem is just to find the right school where you really learn something.
I am thankful for any hint, how to find out about the better schools!
(My english might be bad not because I am illiterate, it's just because I am German!)

I know India has a big movie industry, in fact, the make the most movies in the world, the beat Hollywood.
But the movies the make are nothing like the movies we are used to see from Hollywood.
But India has Bollywood.

But what i dont understand is Africa?
What do you want in Africa?
Do the have a movie industry there? (i think the happy if the have some food...)
Well, iam sure the make movies, but i really dont think the have a filmschool... come on, we are talking about africa

(which i do believe is a beutyfull country)

You are living in Germany, germany has a fairly good film industry i think (i live in The Netherlands) iam 1000000000000% sure that Germany has a muccccccccccch better film industry and filmschools than Africa.

India is a place that does have a big movie industry, but not the Europe/USA movie way.

Good luck, let me know what your doing.

Oh by the way,
dont take any of my advice, i dont know much about this things, and iam centenly not a expert about Africa, its just my reaction about hearing someone say that he go to Africa for movies... (i think about snakes, wild animals, hunger, nice landscapes, no money, but not about movies ;) )

Greetings,
Jerry :)

hey you are right there is a rapidly growing film industry in Africa (especially in Nigeria, of which I am from). But my advice would be to learn the art here in the US and then move down there.
Warning:- Expect to face a lot of challenges when u get there...it will be tough.
Maybe I shouldn't be telling you this anyway, u might be competition for me tommorrow..

#1 Yes there is a very vibrant movie industry in Africa(Nigeria specifically)

#2 They do have some food...thank you very much!

# 3 Africa is not a "beautiful country" it's a "beautiful continent".

The best Film School in India is the Film and Television Institute of India at Pune(FTII).Most of the top technicians of the Mumbai mainstrem industry come from there. But its too artsy for actual work in Bollywood.
Go for some diploma courses in Mumbai itself.Or plain join an unit as a trainee. There's a derth of proffessionals here, you'd probably be welcome.
