Screenwriting MFA

USC - Accepted
UCLA - Rejected

Will be accepting USC's offer. Haven't heard about scholarships, TA opportunities, etc. Has anyone heard about financial assistance from USC?

Hey !
My name is Lucas, I'm finishing my degree in Management at the University of Warwick (3rd year). I applied in producing only for the following universities.
Here is my list:
-UCLA: accepted
-AFI: interviewed 2 days ago
-USC: no news, didn't do the first interview
-Chapman: no news

Did you get a call or email from UCLA? Is it your first choice?

Hi everyone, here is my update...apply for the 2014 Fall production/directing MFA program
USC: interviewed at Feb 15th
UCLA: rejected at March 7th
UTA: rejected at Feb 7th
BU: been quite
SCAD: interviewed at Nov 1st
FSU: been quite

I'm an international students. And I did another interview in Beijing for USC last week, which is specific for Chinese students. I think there's nothing to do with the admission decision.

Cross my fingers for everyone.

Rejected from Ohio University, heard via email. Sure it's disappointing...but today I learned I have chance to go to the Avengers 2 shooting for a few weeks, so happy about that :)

CCC sent a letter in the mail, just arrived today. They won't tell you through e-mail, however, you should log into the admissions bulletin board, it'll say whether or not you've been invited to accepted students day...if you haven't they there's a really good chance you didn't get in.

Ok thanks. I logged in and there's no message there anything. So guess I failed. Oh well.

HI. I've applied for Direction MFA at the following Universities -

NYU
UCLA
Columbia
Calarts
I was not eligible to apply in USC or AFI because I was not 21 as of august 2013 and I did not have a 4 year bachelors degree. Mine is a 3 year bachelors degree which is US bachelors equivalent. Sigh. So I lost out on the opportunity to apply in these two schools. I haven't heard from any of the universities. UCLA and NYU just gave me an update about my application being under department review. I am quite nervous. I've almost exhausted all the patience I have had in my entire life I think. o_O

Where did you read you must be 21 years old for USC? Weird, I didn't read that anywhere, fortunately I'm 21 since June 2013. I have a 3 year bachelor degree from Europe, which they accept. As long as it is 180 credits and recognized by your countries government.

All directing track
USC- wait listed fall accepted to spring
DePaul-accepted (email today)
CCC-no word
Syracuse-no word

Haven't checked mail in a week so maybe I should get on that?

Mate Boegi Apologies. I meant I have to be 21 as per AFI requirements. With USC nope. They refused to accept my application even though I have 180 credits and my bachelors degree is approved by the WES as a US degree equivalent. I personally mailed them and had a huge conversation thread with the admission department to sort this issue out. Unfortunately it wasn't successful. In fact my college is affiliated to a Govt University. Have you been accepted by USC yet?

Rejected from Depaul MFA, but offered admission to the MS which they say is same as the first year. I don't think anyone would ever do this though.

Updated tracking for MFA-Directing programs

USC-Waitlisted Fall guaranteed spot for Spring
CCC-Accepted
DePaul-Accepted
Syracuse-Nothing yet

Hey Lucas, I just got accepted at UCLA as well (Screenwriting), but I am thinking I can't go because I don't have the money. What are you thinking of doing for funding?

I don't know yet, I earned some money by doing internships and working. My family is also going to help me I think. What about you ?
