Peter Stark Producing Program 2013/2014

Nope, face to face wasn't a contemplated option for the second interview.

@Mike Skarn thanks for sharing! Was the interview about you and something specific on your resume/essays/application materials or was it more similar to the first interview with Henry?

@S6 good luck with your interview! I have mine in a few hours, really excited and a bit nervous to be talking with Larry Turman!

Just had mine some time ago. It was very short. About 10 mins.
Richard, Henry and Larry were all there. It was very informal and nice.
It was like talking to fellow producers who want to know why you are interested in film-making, and why in the Stark program.

Good luck to all those who are yet to interview.
Decisions are out in 2 weeks !!

Hey there everyone!

Had my interview a couple of hours ago and, just like @roaming_saint said, it was very informal. 10 minutes with Larry, Henry and Richard. Questions were about:

- How I got the internship I am doing now at FOX;
- How are things moving on with one of my film projects I told them about both in the essays and on our last interview;
- Did I apply to other film schools or research other programs other than Stark;
- Am I interested in job opportunities in Europe as well or am I determined to move to LA.

Good luck everyone, I really hope we can all meet in August at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.

It was great getting this far this time around but needless to say that I want this more than ever (as all of you probably!)

@freaky I don't know what's gonna happen to me should I get in..! I'm rooting for you too, it seems like it was yesterday that we were waiting together for the call last year.

Ah, those were dark times... :)

@coins, @freaky, @other-repeat-applicants:
After the interview its hard enough to wait two more weeks. I can only imagine what you guys must have been through reapplying after another year. (I could sense the 'dark ages' while reading through previous year's posts)
I really hope you guys get in.

Did you guys apply elsewhere?

I haven't gotten an email about my application being under departmental review. Do they send those to everyone?

I did get a email saying they got my scholarship application, but I doubt that has much to do with my acceptance status.

(I'm a directing applicant, though.)

I think the worst part was telling my family and friends that I was rejected from film school. But otherwise, I got over it.

I applied to a few other places, USC is the only school I reapplied to.

HI everyone!
Just had my interview an hour ago and as mentioned above, very informal.

-They asked me about my current and past projects
-If moving to L.A is something I would be doing regardless of being accepted at USC
-Which other schools I was waiting to hear back from

Good luck to those who have yet to do an interview.

@freakyfreddy yes, being rejected was quite terrible, and the worst part was telling everybody who had been supporting you that you failed. But it also was a great learning experience, and I got to find out how strong my passion really is ;-) can't say I'm glad it happened, but I feel much stronger now!

I had my follow up interview with Larry, Henry, and Robert this afternoon via skype. It was very conversational and pretty lighthearted. They only asked me a couple questions: what was I working on now, and what other film schools I applied to. I asked them a few questions which was most our conversation. My question prompted most of the discussion (including counter questions) from them, so I highly recommend you think of 2 - 3 good questions if you get the opportunity to talk with them again.

It's weird that their interviews are so early this year. I have to admit, it is pretty unsettling for me. But I gave my best effort and I am proud of my application.

I never received any such email either.
I called to ask the grad admissions about the status of my app and if they required anything else. They said it had already been forwarded to the department

I did get a email saying they got my scholarship application, but I doubt that has much to do with my acceptance status.
This makes me nervous, since I did not get any confirmation that they received my scholarship application. I think I will call and ask them. Thanks for sharing this.

@freakyfreddy sorry for the delayed response. No, I did have an interview in the fall. Received an email last week about a second, follow up interview. It was exactly like the others said, why USC, what will you do if you don't get in, what have you been working on.

Here's to March 1!
