Damn, really?? I figured somebody else here would have gotten a call today saying they were accepted. Y'all are so dedicated and thoughtful and it's been so nice getting to know you and take on this nerve-wracking process together! I'm hoping you guys get some good news soon! I'm sure that if you don't get a call offering admission this week after interviewing, you're most likely waitlisted. And it wouldn't surprise me if not all the accepted cohort chooses to attend. So I would not say rip to your dreams just yet!

You guys are luckier than the us MA applicants - we got no interviews, calls, communication, or community of other applicants to converse. My only hope is GradCafe where nothing’s happening right now.

I applied to UT Austin for an MFA in Film Production but never got an interview. I'm assuming that I'm probably not getting in.

Oh well, it just wasn't meant to be. I might travel to The Philippines to look for a girlfriend instead.

Hey! I also applied to Michener. As far as I know they don’t do interviews and haven’t sent out anything yet. Last year I applied there and was rejected and I don’t know if they ever sent anything at all. I think I just found out through the portal. This chat has a few Michener overlappers!

I am another Michener overlapper! As far as I know they haven't sent anything out and won't until like March. Usually if you're rejected you'll have to keep checking the portal until it says "denied," but if you're accepted you'll get a call and/or email. For the Screenwriting program, I received a call around noon on Sunday, and then today around 6pm I got my official offer of admission and my financial aid offer over email.

Somebody posted an acceptance today for Michener on GradCafe. no clarifications on whether it was for screen writing or creative writing, etc. but just an FYI folks.

They do claim to be an international applicant.

I just checked the MFA Draft spreadsheet and it looks like this acceptance was likely for fiction! Lol there may still be hope yet

Join the MFA Draft 24 Facebook. It’s basically like this site but more geared toward Fiction/Prose/CNF writers. I’m part of it because I applied to a ton of fiction programs last year and joined this year in case I applied in one of the above categories (although I ended up applying solely for screenwriting this year)

Ugh, still no word for MAs. I feel like it’s easier (and faster) to assess a ten page essay rather than a feature length screenplay
