How do you know for sure ? Did they email you ? I have not heard from US, So till now they must send everyone something if I am right.

Hi all,

I just found this website and I've been reading this post so far. I am invited to the interview for Columbia Film MFA Program(Directing), got an email on early February, and will be there for in person interview soon.

Actually it is my first time to have an interview in US, so now I'm really curious/NERVOUS how the interview in here(especially for Columbia) goes like. Is there anyone here who already had the interview? I'm also wondering whether the interview is a big deal or just a 'formal procedure' for admission,(Oh, this might be a dumb question, haha~) even though I'm preparing for it in my own way.

And, do they really conduct the interview for a half hour long...?(I feel SO MUCH pressured... haha)

Please give me some useful tips if you have something to guide me. I will try my best to give it back to you in the near future. Thank you all~!

I received an email. It didn't direct me to login to the youSC portal or anything, it was all in the email with a link to decide to stay on the waitlist or not.

I just got a letter in the mail from USC also saying that I'm waitlisted for the fall with guaranteed acceptance for the spring!! I haven't gotten an email, and I didn't get an interview with them so I'm genuinely surprised but very happy!

***UPDATE***

A friend just informed me they called and talked with USC Writing Program once again to find out more information

They have just made final decisions of final acceptances and rejections and waiting list and are processing them currently. They informed her we will find out by the end of this week latest.

So there is still hope apparently for some of you out there. Unless this is a mean joke by the school.

Although I received an email long back stating that I am waitlisted for USC - Production Course for Fall 2016 batch, I got the mail containing the link only an hour back. Opened the link and accepted the waitlist offer! So it's gonna be either Fall 2016 or Spring 2017

Out of curiosity, did you receive the info with the electronical acceptance letter on you.usc or e-mail? Have you, or anyone else for that matter, received the physical acceptance and financial package? I'd like to browse through it before committing. But living on the other side of thr wprld kind of translates into slow mail service plus, leaving for nyc in a few hours - so I guess it will be here when I get back. Would live if someone could share its contents, though!

hey! you live on other side of the world? where is that? now, i'm curious as I live on other side of the world too! haha

I got two separate emails, one for the admission pending financial stuff and one from SCA with a letter attached from the dean telling me i got the scholarship. does this help?

I have not heard anything from USC's Production, even wait listed decision so that makes me waitlisted of waitlist.
Update: I received acceptance from LMU production.
