NCSA will have a MFA in screenwriting in 2011, partnered with UNC.

They will also bring Mast programs to editing, Directing, and Producing.

I'm probably applying for Spring and Fall 2010 at USC and UCLA. As it's not possible to know if you were accepted for the srping before the deadline for the fall.

How are u guys doing. What have changed from last year's applications procedures?

Do you know what's different this year for both?
I heard something about GRE not mandatory anymore.. Is it true?

it's my belief that the gre's were never mandatory for ucla and are now no longer mandatory for usc.

are you applying to the writing program or production? or producing?
i think i am in an unusual boat in that i am probably going to apply to usc for writing and ucla for production.

As far as UCLA goes, if you had below a 3.0 as an undergrad they "suggest" you take the gre.

Hi Zumbi... I have no idea about international students but I found a lot of information by calling the film graduate school office and asking.

Also, I read USC is harder to get into than Harvard Law and that they only except I think less than 3% of the applicants. So make sure you have your stuff together. Not so sure about UCLA.

Yep, that's my main concern.
I think I'll do Toefl and Gre AGAIN just in case, as my results last year were too low.

ANyway, there is no mean to apply, put a lot of work on it, if ONE or TWO things are not ok, or even TOO ok in comparison to the other stuff you have.

I need to get inside all information of what changed this year before start anything. I don't have much time, but as I applied already last year, documents and bureaucracy is not something I need to concern. Basically only visual and writing statement/samples, + the Toefl and GRE stuff.
Anyone have an idea of what should I do?

quick question - is there any reason to not tell a university where else one is applying? i am assuming it's just for their own records/stats, but could it play out to one's advantage or disadvantage? like, when it comes time for determining financial aid, for instance?
