Hi,
This is my first post so hopefully I started this thread in right section.

Currently Im in my senior year at cinema&tv departmant in a Turkish university. Here's the thing.I'm planning to go a film school in los angeles. My intentions are staying at there and working in film industry. But I'm not just looking a way to stay in usa.You know, there are cheaper ways than a film school.I really want to go somewhere that can help me improve myself and eventually get a job.I was looking at nyfa, lafs, usc, ucla on web but honestly I've no idea where to go. other problem is money of course.I know education in us is ridiculously expensive and I'm ready to pay but some schools are more affordable so I hope you can help me to find some schools that price/performance rate is good.
Oh,also I'm not looking for undergraduate degree.I'm interested in mfa,ma or some other 2,3 year program.I don't see the point of getting a second undergraduate degree(maybe I'm wrong)

I've been to usa and going againg this summer for work and travel program so I mostly know about the country, how things work..so there are no problems about that.

I hope you can give me some ideas. Sorry about any grammar mistakes.

Hello there! International applier from Mexico here!
Yep, im on the same situation, and all the stuff on the School´s website maybe seems confsing and frustating... lucky you, you are going to usa on summer, i recommend you to approach on those schools on the LA area, search for some current students or faculty members the most valuable info comes from them... as for the payment, yep, film schools are really expensive, but dont hesitate! there are alot of scolarships, search for them with the university itself or even with particular contributors, alot of people and companies supports students, search for them in your own country, for example i recommend you the Rolex mentor and protege program...
Best of lucks buddy, go on and dont step back, shape those applications like a god and send them to all the universities you may like, even if its not your favorite one you can transfer later to them!
All questions feel free to ask, and all troubles im here to share, sorry for the grammar haha
