Columbia SOA MFA Directing & Screenwriting - Fall 2024

Oh, sorry. I just sent the official decision in yesterday and forgot to update here. I'm going to UT!

NYU! will update my apps now.
Congrats!

We've recently launched a new Private Group Threads feature if you want to create a private group thread for attending students for a program. Basically it'll let you create a private thread that only you and the people you authorize can see. (Like GroupMe) It's available to all members and not just supporting members. :)

Here's the forum and the info in how to use it.

We just launched the feature and I'm excited to see if people find it useful. I think it's pretty neat. Create a thread and let me know how it goes! :)

In case it is of any interest to anyone, I am still on the waitlist for Screenwriting & Directing. I was told I could potentially remain on it through the first semester. I'm not putting all my eggs in that basket necessarily and I've already started working on reapplying. Anyone else in this boat as well?

I'm in the same boat. Do you plan to reapply with a new writing sample and treatment?

yeah i will likely reapply with all new writing material. my film was a rough cut when i applied and now it's complete--i'm wondering if it's a faux pas to apply with the same film even if it's in a more complete form?
