"Not sure what to do with my hands." -INTRO

Hello,
My name is Walter.
Shoutout to Chris.
This site is super cool, and I really love the camaraderie, insights, and shared love for cinema.
AFI is the only program I have ever wanted to attend. It was not until the past two years that I finally looked in the mirror and told myself I could do it.
I have been making small films since I was a teenager. For the past ten years, I worked in the creative industry while still finding time to experiment with personal creative ventures on the side.
Filmmaking has always been an itch that feels deeply therapeutic to me, and a place where I have met my closest friends.
I'm inspired by Carl Jung, Fred Warden, Kristoffer Borgli, Cole Webley, and, of course, Ari Aster.

I always enjoy meeting new creatives and collaborators!

Hey Walter!

We’re similar in our enjoyment of this community and our goals towards AFI. This site has definitely been a great resource for me and I appreciate Chris for what he has given us. I suggest considering also logging your application here too.

I recently visited AFI for the first time and it was hard not to smile non stop. Part of me kept saying “This is where I belong.”

I really enjoyed your film for the narrative assignment. I’m crossing fingers that we both make it in to AFI.
