Has anyone who applied to the Dramatic Writing department been invited to an interview yet?

I'm hearing a lot of "directing" and "producing." No writers?

Has anyone done/been invited to a cinematography interview? It's just the Film course with a focus on cinematography. Will the interview be very different from, say, the directing people's interviews?

I'm applying for DW and still haven't heard a peep. I haven't read of any other DW applicants that have yet, so perhaps they haven't gotten started yet?

Last year, when I received my rejection notice, I heard back on the 27th or so of March. That doesn't leave much time to schedule interviews, so perhaps that means they aren't doing them this year? I've read on this form from years past that they have skipped the interview process.

Well, at the end of the day, no matter how lovely we are to each other here, we are ultimately up against one another. Since, I assume, kwokts did not have any extra help before his interview, giving away all the questions to us would put us at an unfair advantage. So fair enough.

Indeed, I assumed as much. I thought I remembered reading somewhere on this form that Dramatic Writing interviews weren't being held that year, and hoped that that might be the case this year too. ONLY THAT COULD EXPLAIN WHY I DIDN'T GET AN INTERVIEW, RIGHT!? Ugh.

It seems really unlikely that not a single DW applicant lurking around these forums got an interview...

I realize that that might not seems likely, but we can't rationally know anything at all. So frustrating! I guess that's why we have this forum, right? To try and shed some light on a process that will never be transparent?

so its evident there are a few of us who still haven't heard from the school. i applied for the production/directing program and still haven't heard (interview or rejection)...

my guess is that i might receive a mail soon stating that i made it to the second round of selection but didn't make it till the interviews, however i could consider tisch asia...

this is what has happened in the past...

thought i would just share this.... what do you guys think? would they still send out any more interview notifications?

Haven't heard anything either, but based on my lack of interviews for the other 4 schools I applied to, rejection appears to be inevitable. I think it has taken this long because my name is at the back half of the alphabet and/or I turned my application in on the last day.

I got some insider information from a trusted source. He tells me the department will NOT be offering in-person interviews this year. However, they will be "calling" and doing on-the-spot mini phone-interviews.

So get your speeches prepared now.
