Hi I am also waiting on hearing back from the Design for Stage & Film department. When I talked to Barbara Cokorinos about 2 weeks ago, she said the notification date will be from mid-March to the end of March. So we still have a week of waiting to go! Don't worry too much, I think they are just really slow!

Where else did you apply to if you don't mind me asking?
I applied to NYU, UCLA, Carnegie Mellon, and AFI!

I don't see a lot of post on the Production design focus at all! We should start our own topic.

Good luck!

Great To hear! I think they're just backed up. I called Them
Over The weekend And they called me This morning And said they Will be sending out notifiations BY april 1st.... So It could be any time Now.

I applied To NYU, USC, SAIC, Pratt, Paraons, And VCU And a couple others. Good luck though, Keep me updated When u hear From Them.

i called the general admissions office (not susan carnival) and they said that the committee is still sending out decision letters for everyone

he said that the absolute latest everyone will hear back is actually april 15th, but that the decision letters should be all out very soon

hope this helps for the MFA directing candidates... nail-biting continues

Hey, I am also a production design applicant and I actually applied to these 4 schools as well! I interviewed with AFI, Carnegie Mellon and Tisch. Didn't get into Carnegie Mellon or UCLA and haven't heard yet from the other two.

Nope. Nada.

My theory is that they are waiting until the Asia interviews are finished to send out waitlist and rejection emails for NYC. I've read in past threads that they sometimes offer applicants the option to be waitlisted on both lists.

I read in a previous year post of someone receiving an acceptance email late, so I'm still keepin the hope alive at this point :)

yeah, i'm totally with you... like i said, i called yesterday and they said they were still sending out letters

my theory is that if you haven't interviewed at this point for MFA Directing, you're probably in a difficult situation

but if you have interviewed for MFA Directing, and haven't heard, you're probably still in consideration... but you never know the nail-biting continues

same here. Just got my rejection mail along with saying I made it to the second round. No idea what to think of that tough.

I'll probably try again next year.

Anyone of you interested in sharing the 4 minute script in private? I'm curious about what others did write.

rejected as well - first year applying, made the second round, no interview. There's always next year. I'll be local 600 by then, so we'll see what the next step is in the fall.

congrats to everyone who got in.

TobiB, I'd be happy to swap 4 minute stories if you'd like.

Since waitlist spots are now being filled does this mean that final acceptance decisions have already been made and notified?

has anyone here who got an interview received a rejection notification?

@MysteryLights

Interviewed and haven't heard anything. I have this horrible feeling they're going to make us wait another week (until April 1st) for rejection letters. So brutal....

Still hoping for a miracle though...
