TISCH 2011 hopefuls lets nail-bite together!

I applied to the Film Production program, with a focus on writing / directing. I managed to keep it out of mind for the first two months after applying, but I've had a hard time lately. I fluctuate between feeling cautiously optimistic and convinced I won't even get an interview.

It's good to have a place to nail-bite with fellow applicants.

I applied for the Dramatic Writing department. Any word on interviews yet? I can take the anxiety anymore!

I applied to that department too. I hate seeing how many other people applied. It makes me paranoid they're going to snag the last potential spot. I always feel worse afterwards.

I really wish that everybody who visits this board is accepted though.

I mean, if people aren't internet literate enough to find this place... then come on. This is a devoted bunch.

Hi everyone. Waiting to hear back about my application for Film Production. Is anyone working on any projects right now?

Koquard: it's not a zero-sum game, mate. If you have the talent you will make it. And think about it: if it is really what you want to do, and you enjoy doing it, then the work in itself is a reward. Requiring success is only proof that the work isn't enough in itself.

I'm also a Dramatic Writing applicant, and come to think of it I don't recall hearing ANYTHING from them whatsoever--hopefully they received the materials I sent!

Same here! Dramatic Writing applicant, no word yet.

I think film applicants hear way before writing hopefuls.

Got the message few hours ago.
Interview for late February or early March.

I think they didn't call me since I'm international. I have to call and make the specific appointment.

BTW. Hello everyone, I'm glad I found this place.
