TISCH 2011 hopefuls lets nail-bite together!

3 letters of recommendation, 750 word limit for personal statement, and one completed screenplay or tv script, right?

That's what I submitted. Is there a 2011 NYU Dramatic Writing MFA thread on this forum...or should we revive this one:

That's what I did. Though my three letters weren't from really well-connected people unfortunately.

Same. I just had my professors write the recs. No industry people.

I'm so tempted to go read over my screenplay and scrutinize every little detail, but I don't want to sacrifice my sanity.

KrisKelvin, maybe the 111 pages you did submit are so good that they'll call you in for an interview just so they can read the last 2! Think of it that way!

I hope everything works out!...And don't punch yourself in the face :)

Sorry, just noticed this. I actually went ahead and mailed them the last 2 pages (page and a half really) with a note attached. Hopefully it doesn't backfire on me!

Any Tisch MFA Directing interviews yet? I'm guessing it's probably way too early... Here's a great old school music video from Spike Jonze to watch in the meantime!:

What do you all think of it? It was shot in Super 16mm

I also got an interview for MFA/MBA program. Probably have to do a phone interview since I'm in Asia (but I'm applying to NYU in NYC). Does anyone know if phone interview impair the chance of getting in?

Interview is for the MBA/MFA program in NYC. I am currently in Shanghai. Am trying to make a trip to NYC for the interview but might have to do it over the phone.

FYI: My portfolio submission was for my work on a short film www.goodbyeshanghai.com.
