USC MFA - Film and Television Production - Fall 2026

Do you guys apply for scholarships too?
i didn’t apply for the george lucas scholarship, but i wish i did. didn’t know there was an essay requirement until the deadline.

are there other ways to apply for scholarships at USC?
I applied to all the scholarships I saw in Slideroom. If you log into your youUSC portal, there's something called "scholarship universe" listed under financial aid. But I'm pretty sure we can only apply to those if admitted.

The scholarships in slideroom, were those the ones in the application (the three scholarship questions) Or were there separate scholarships to apply to? And copy that about the scholarship universe! :)

Admitted students day for grad students in sca is March 27, so there's no way decisions will be sent out in April. At the latest, it will probably be the first week of March, but the past two years' decisions have come out between now and February 25-ish. Every year seems to be different though, so it's really just a guessing game atp.
yea i figured the first round of decisions would come out this weekend and roll out through early march. but knowing USC, maybe they’ll notify everyone an hour before admitted students day lol

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I do wish they were more consistent with how they release decisions, though. The suspense of it all is killing me.

I just received the decision status email and learned I got admitted! Do you guys know what is the deadline to complete the intent form and inform the my final decision? Also does anyone know when do scholarship decisions come out? None of it are mentioned in the email or the decision notification pdf.
Just received my acceptance letter as well. I’m not sure if we have to commit first before we get financial aid info or not tho.

Congrats! I've also received the acceptance letter, and what I found on the You.usc portal, it said the certification deadline is April 16. I Wonder if is it ok I make decision before that date.
