Hey! Longtime lurker, but I just wanted to say that I received a domestic acceptance yesterday, which means that they are rolling out the applications gradually rather than in one dump. Keep the faith!

It's very helpful to everyone. At the basic level it's logging dates and basic info at the minimum.

Is there a usual time of the day when they send notifications or is it completely random?

I also just saw that some production candidates were told in their interviews that they'd hear back* by mid March at the latest. Not sure if that's department-specific or SCA-wide, but I thought I'd mention it anyway just in case

(*although I'd assume that includes rejections which in the past have been the last ones to go out)

Hey all, I spoke with SCA yesterday and they told me acceptances are still being rolled out up until mid-March. Sending out in delayed batches could be due to needing time to determine customized financial aid, that's all they could tell me. Hang tight everyone.

So is it a rejection? The waiting is really killing me and driving me crazy!

In contrast, I think I made it pretty clear that I can only attend if they offer me some help (I got into both AFI and Chapman in the past and didn't attend because $$$).

Maybe they want to send financial aid info either together or pretty soon after admission because they want you to declare intent to attend within a short timeline. They know many people need to get their financial ducks in a row to be able to commit and give them an answer, so the sooner they can assign aid, the better.

Not sure how this applies to intl. students, but I got an email from FAFSA last week stating "we'll start sending FAFSA information to schools in the first half of March." That might be a good guess as to the delay for applicants who already submitted FAFSA and noted so on the application. So they might be using that time to be adjusting scholarships for students who get federal aid?
