NFTS 2014 (3 Viewers)

Hello everyone, I am going to apply for NFTS 2015 entry.

Does anybody know something about the referee? Does NFTS need the applicant's reference letters?

Hey All,
Lets get this forum going again for 2015 entry. I'm Applying for the first time on the MA Cinematography course. Deadlines coming up in a few days for the application, just wrangling the last bit of advice from everyone, it's difficult to know what they're after.
Good luck everyone! :)

I'm back in for the 3rd time. Hopefully 3rd time lucky, however feel less confident than last year and didn't get in then so - meh. Can't win if you don't play.

MA Directing Fiction applicant.

Good luck.

Wonder if they will keep us waiting as long as last year...

I applied for the MA Screenwriting course.

The application process was probably the most stressful thing I've done in a long time. So much conflicting information about file attachments! Grr.

Nerves have set in, in a big way.

I have applied for MA Screenwriting as well this year and have just received the email to say my application has been prepared for the selection panel. They have also asked for my references to contact them now... I applied for Directing Fiction two years ago and they didn't ask for this in the initial email for directing - I'm assuming it's new protocol or because it's a different department.

Hey guys, I've applied for the MA in screenwriting but haven't heard anything back yet about whether or not my application has been submitted to the panel or not. I know in the email it says that screenwriting interviews weren't being held until the week of the 7th of july, but I was wondering if anyone else was in the same boat of not hearing anything? Because its been two weeks...

Give them a call tomorrow if you want some piece of mind. I did earlier in the week (for Cinematography), and they said that applications were still being processed. Apparently they were swamped this year.

I know there's always a high volume of competition with any if the courses at NFTS. Was just a little concerned though as other courses got back to me within the week. And there's also the fact that I'm an international student from Australia. I'll give them a call anyway tomorrow, as from what I've read in the initial email, Screenwriting portfolios wouldn't take as long to get through as Directing or Cinematography portfolios. Will post what I find out :)

I've applied for MA DF too, good luck to everyone applying. Reading last years threads it seems like we're all in for an extremely nervous journey for the next month or possibly more lol...
