Ohio University phone interview TOMORROW!

Hi-
I have been contacted re: "second round" picks for an interview at Ohio University. Any one have any comments to make regarding the school, progarm, interview tips, selection for attendance, etc.?

I had an interview at Columbia Chicago last week, went pretty well. I wish I had found this forum first, I felt like I had a decent but not stellar interview. Kind of choked it a bit when asked if I had any Q's...Don't know how important that part is bur...we do what we can right.

Thanks for reply's in advance

Hey Joe, I did my undergrad at Ohio State, and had a lot of friends at OU in Athens, and one who did the film production program there. It seems like it's a pretty cool program, but you have to be okay living in Athens, OH, which is sort of podunk. It's really small, and not a lot goes on there, except lots of drinking.

Hey-

Thanks for the heads up- I know its pretty rural and podunk, but its good to here it reiterated. I'm in Milwaukee (Mildrunkee!) so the drinking to deal think is not unfamiliar.

Thanks for the post.

hey, I already did the phone interview with a professor there on Saturday morning, which is Friday eveing for American time. emm...I don't know how it went, I just talk very honestly, such as I was also accepted by other film schools, and I'm also very concerned about the small town atmosphere, internships, etc.

anyway, I think it's a great long international phone call. Hope I can get positive response from them in two weeks. but from what I heard, they have quite good equip but somehow lack industry connections. That's what I think

My editing prof at USC taught a seminar series there, spoke highly of it...strangely, I'm from Ohio, did BA at Cleveland State, and never even knew they had a program.

I guess it's practically free if you get in, and like I said, my prof, who went to AFI, teaches at AFI, USC, and Chapman, highly recommends it.

Athens is party party party, not necessarily podunk, just a college town. It's pretty.

Hey- thanks for the input!

I just got off the phone with Jack Wright, very cool guy.
I have a lot of information to digest and will make a post after some time contemplating this call. In short, it was very casual, chatty, but serious. It lasted about one hour.

Thanks again for the comments-

Joe
