Dramatic Writing.
Same here. My first time applying though. I sent three full-length scripts (one feature, two television). One that was admittedly a sophomoric effort and two pretty good follow-ups (in my opinion). I also don't have an astonishing amount of experience in the industry like a lot of other applicants do.
I'm probably going to end up in your boat: rejected and forced to re-apply because I want it so bad. Hopefully you get in this time. It'll make the wait a lot more hopeful for me. I haven't prepared my "rejection face" yet. I'm worried the letter is going to creep up on me and I won't be ready for it. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
Hold on--you sent THREE scripts? The application says "Admission to the program depends primarily on the quality of the writing that an applicant submits - a full-length play, screenplay or teleplay."
I took that to mean only ONE script. Were we allowed to submit more?
Good luck to those applying, btw. I'm also applying for the first time, and expect to be rejected...but we'll have to see what happens. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
That was a last month change on the website, I think. Before they said just to submit "work(s)". </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
You need to have one at least one complete work, with a total of 50 pages of material for submission. I submitted a 35-page spec script and a 30-page short play I wrote.
