Congrats to those who have received their acceptances! Question, are you guys international students or domestic? I think I’m asking because of how early in the morning you guys received your emails.

From their profiles, they are from Japan, Istanbul, and Korea. One is from Florida. So, the majority is international.

Is it usually international first, then domestic? I’m trying to figure out if I should be nervous yet lol

I haven't heard back. I'm domestic, but they could be releasing letters in waves. I would imagine international students + top picks are the majority of first automated letters sent out. I believe they also send out international letters first since they may have more paperwork for their visa, etc. (I know a lot of international students at my school, and it's not a fun/quick process.)

If anyone can confirm the waves of letters theory, please lmk. Otherwise, I'm not planning on receiving anything until tomorrow. Also, I did get an interview, and I'm excited to hear back either way. I'm happy for those who already got accepted, though. It's not easy to set up all your application requirements while balancing work and school.

We're rolling out a new feature today where members can create a Private Group Thread to stay in touch and get to meet their potential classmates in the new Private Group Threads forum.

It works similar to GroupMe where ONLY people you invite can see the threads. Also if you have push notifications set up on your phone it'll work even better.

I asked the teacher who interviewed me, and they said I should probably wait until April to know for sure. I haven’t received anything yet.

Its gone be way earlier than that. The open house visit is like march 27th and that for waitlisted and addmited students to see their peers teachers ect. no way they gone wait that long

Trying not to be a pessimist but I have a feeling all the acceptances are out and what comes next will just be either rejections or waitlists.

Either way, I kinda just want the waiting game to be over lol

Nothing yet, I was wrong about Monday, but honestly, nobody can predict when the letters will come out. It seems different every year. It's comforting to talk about it though

No rejection letter yet. Something to keep in mind is that we are all domestic: NC, OH, CA, TN. I know we had a few domestic applicants on this forum get in on Sunday, but I think those were the automated first push ones.

Also, I wonder if USC reads these forums

This facts. I had homies last year in early March who got in last year I wouldn’t rly trip rn but we gone see. It’s kinda outrageous for the wait rn for how long it has been tho.

I was about to write the same thing.

I've been reading The Art Spirit by Robert Henri (a really great read for all artists), and I found a quote that may be comforting. “Do whatever you do intensely. The artist is the man who leaves the crowd and goes pioneering. With him there is an idea which is his life.” I hope that none of us lose our motivation despite the letters we receive.

They're going to go thru march, so yeah its just a matter of when. Some of my friends got them on the fourth last year, others on the 13th, and another one in early Feb, so unfort its all a waiting game out here. all in due time
