I finally got my official rejection so I can close this chapter
I have yet to decide if I will re-apply, as every single one of these lottery tickets is rather expensive

But to those admitted: Break a leg and have a blast!

(P.S. In case you're still waiting, I initially did not get an email. I randomly checked the portal and my decision had been posted there. The email arrived afterwards.)

Have either of you considered asking for feedback on your application materials? That would at least give you a sense of where you missed the mark and whether you want to pour anymore time, money, or effort into applying. Or, if you're comfortable, you could share your materials here and get some input. I can't speak for anybody else, but I'd be happy to take a look. Not that I'm an expert or anything.

Great idea Chris. Thank you for that suggestion. So far three interviews and 2 waitlists and USC is not a dream school. The focus is now on those dream schools where there has been good feedback during the interview.

Just curious... as a waitlisted student who's dream school is USC, is anyone who was admitted still teetering between this program and another? Just trying to gauge what the matriculation mood is for this fall.

I'm doing my due diligence and there are still a few shoes left to drop, but I'd say its more likely than not that I accept my offer. Was told I'd find out about my financial aid package on 3/29. That's the main thing. If they can get me close, I'll be there.

Definitely going. Mainly because it's my only option, but also because it's probably my only shot at going to film school ever. Financial aid might affect that decision, but only if they offer me no financial aid whatsoever and my GI bill doesn't come through.

There are bound to be a couple of folks who get into AFI or NYU in addition to SC and choose those options instead. Hang in there, man.

I don’t mind sharing my samples if anybody wants to dm me. They’re not being developed into anything, just a goofy little exercise I did for the application.

I also plan to attend this fall (they aren't sending us financial aid packages until around 3/29 so that will be important), but I do hope to attend, God willing. I also am happy to share my creative challenges...I just added them.
