USC SCA Writing for Screen and Television MFA Fall 2024

Does anyone know if USC sent out scholarships and financial aid packages?
I'm on this thread entirely too much at this point. But I was at admitted student day last Friday, and we were told that all the large scholarships had been awarded already and the recipients notified. However, financial aid packages won't be available until mid April due to the hold up with FAFSA.

That's rough with deposit deadline on the 15th too.

per admissions: "all applicants are encouraged to apply for Financial Aid (which includes the Supplement) after applying for admission. A lot of students apply for financial aid directly after applying for admission back in the fall, so that if/when you are admitted, the Financial Aid Office can share a package with you with a quicker turnaround. We would recommend you still apply by the deadline so that the information is in the system. The reality of a waitlist is that you may not hear back until after May, during the summer, so the Financial Aid Office should have the information it needs if you are admitted later."

USC HOUSING!!

Hey All! As I finish up my time at USC (I was a spring 22 admit, it's been an absolute DREAM!), I wanted to see if anyone is looking for a a studio apartment near campus. Quite a few film students live in my building because it's a really short walk to the film school building.

Some deets:
  • In the safest area near campus - 10 minute walk to the Film School Building
  • Hoover and West 29th Street
  • 5 minute walk from Trader Joe’s grocery store, Target, and all the restaurants at USC Village. (in general, if you’re trying to live walking distance, thenorth side of campus is safest).
  • $1700/month, utilities usually ~65/month.
  • Has Heat and A/C
  • Laundry in building
  • Super secure gated entry with bike rack and picnic table
  • Thick walls (quiet)
  • Sweet responsive live-in super. 2nd floor unit up oneflight of stairs
  • Cute Juliet Balcony
  • Can come partially furnished with a full bed and bedframe + desk/table, and fridge, microwave,
    stove/oven.
  • No pets

  • Video tour/pics here: Apt 201 - Google Drive

Email me at MORRALL@USC.EDU if interested. Go Trojans!

Congrats! That's awesome. I'm committed to NYU, which has always been my first choice, but USC told me they'd reach out by the beginning of July since I'm an international student, and they haven't. I'd just rather know out of curiosity (and it would be cool ofc) than be left in the dark forever, haha.
