What is each Undergrad film program known for?

Undergrad applicant for 2022, trying to get a sense of the type of films each school is known for. I could be way wrong but it seems like USC is big Hollywood productions, Chapman/Dodge is well known for cinematography, NYU screenwriting, CalArts/UNSCA values artistic thought/experimental. Do you think these labels are correct? Do you think certain schools are more Hollywood producers than others? Curious to hear others opinions on any of the more well known programs.

I've been reposting student films on an Instagram page for the past two years, and I've seen A LOT of movies from different schools. You're pretty spot on. USC is big on Hollywood, a lot of students end up doing coverage, and writing by the end of their classes. Chapman is all about technical competence. Cinematography, yes, but also good editing and AUDIO! AUDIO!!!! NYU is pretty diverse. Movies can be artsty without much of a plot. I think NYU really embodies style over anything else. People really work to have a unique voice at that school. UNSCA has a lot of technical competence, but I have seen some artistic movies.

Chapman, LMU, USC, NYU are kinda known for the "Hollywood" style. Emerson has a lot of stellar undergrads who make artsy stuff. I wrote a blog post about this a while back. If you click on the name of those schools, you can watch student films from them, verified with student's school emails.
