2015 Interviews - Acceptances - Rejections

Congrats!! I just got the AFI Producing email as well. I got rejected from UCLA yesterday so it was great to get good news today! Best of luck to everyone hearing from AFI today!
Tell me about it. I was rejected from UCLA too. Plus, I've been having a terrible week, so getting the email was a relief. I'll see you there @SingingRain!

Hey guys. There is still silence from USC, but I did get an email about filling out a housing form for financial aid. On the form they asked how many credits I would be taking for each semester and whether I would be enrolling. Why would they ask these things before notifying me of a decision? Has anyone else had this happen?

Hey! I got accepted into LMU's Writing and Producing for Television program. Wait-listed for UT of A Screenwriting and still no word on Boston University's MS in Television.

It was always going to boil down to LMU or BU, but someone on here already got accepted to BU's program and I haven't heard anything yet. Is it normal for there to be a lag in acceptances or is it pretty much confirmed I'm gonna get the boot?

Thanks!

I got an email saying a decision had been made on my application. It took me to the decision status site. In this case, no news is probably good news! Also congrats @amandachayne:)
No interview for me.. so I don't think it will be a good news..I just checked my application page..it says submitted and that's it.. This is so torturing.. me.

A few of us received this email a few weeks ago, and the email that came to us said it had no bearing on admission status. I'm guessing they just wanted to be ahead of the game, so that when the SCA did finally make a decision, they already had the info on hand. I filled it out and submitted it, but still silence on my end. @Travis Leake was notified that he was on the waitlist a few days after submitting his, so I think those of us who haven't heard anything are pretty much just waiting on rejection letters at this point. I'll follow up with them if I don't hear back for another month just out of curiosity, but I've already let UCLA know I'm enrolling with them anyway and couldn't be more excited about it.

Any updates on your end, Travis?

The only thing I can think of for USC is the Priority Consideration vs. General Consideration. Maybe that's why you haven't heard? Did you apply before Nov. 1st?

How do you notify UCLA of your intent to enroll? Do you just send an e-mail saying just that or do you fill out a form and pay a deposit like you do for every other program? I only got the e-mail congratulating me on getting accepted and informing me of the March 20th deadline to declare my intent to enroll but no other instructions on how to do so...

Yeah, I applied like the second week of October.

I just replied to the email. I don't think it's anything official-- they're just trying to figure out where they are with numbers right now. The official letter and seat deposit will come later, I think.

Ah, k. Makes sense. Thanks :)

Hey everyone!

2015 UCLA Producers Program admitted student here. Just wondering has anyone got in, too?

Hope to hear from you soon. Best of luck with everything.

rejected by USC ,

still waiting for a few others,

dying to hear news from UCLA, CHAPMAN and AFI.

Just got my official no from NYU for screenwriting, which I expected. I'm not upset because I got into my first choice of USC! And it's also my only choice - it's the only place where I got in out of everywhere I applied (UCLA, NYU, USC, AFI, and UT).

For NYU, I received an email that said a decision had been made on my application, and it prompted me to log into a website to read my letter. I did not have an interview.

Best of luck to everyone! :)
