2015 Interviews - Acceptances - Rejections

Not sure if anyone here has heard from Chapman - they seem to be leaving it pretty late...but I got an acceptance email a few hours ago! Hopefully anyone waiting on a decision there hears back soon.

Congrats!!
Has your status on the online student portal changed?

Just for fun for all of those who have been accepted:

*I think I was the assistant editor on this video but definitely his She is Beautiful video (heck maybe both) Who knows it was 14 years ago! Awesome guy in person. I don't think he ever changes his clothes as he was wearing the same thing when I met him.

Congrats!!

Thanks! My status still says "Decision Reached" on the online portal. So for anyone who has that same status, maybe there's cause to be optimistic :)

Been lurking on these forums for quite some time now...since 2014 and I have to say people have been such a great help to me.

Like three others on this forum, I have been accepted into UCLA cinematography program. Didn't apply to any others programs so I'm 95% I will be attending this fall. Any UCLA directing/cinematography/screenwriting/producing students, add me on Facebook! https://www.facebook.com/nathan.nguyenle

Hope to meet everyone this fall!
Looks like we'll be classmates.
I'll send you a friend request.

Got my acceptance email from Chapman today. Haven't heard from USC yet, which i'm assuming means better luck next time.

Trying to schedule a visit for next week on the Dodge Campus. What do prospective students usually do immediately following a confirmation? What's the chain of events? Sorry for sounding like a noob but this feels foreign for some reason.

Didn't get any notification even for the interview :(
Anyway, congrats!!

Also just got my Chapman acceptance email. My portal has said Decision Reached for almost a week now. Congrats to everyone else who got in maybe I'll see you there.

Congrats! What concentration?

Hi everyone, lurker here. Just wanted to share some info with AFI applicants. Got an e-mail and call this morning from admissions requesting an interview tomorrow. They apologized for the super short notice--I think they are slammed. Also they are conducting interviews on a Sat so you know they must have had a ton of apps to go through. They also said that tomorrow is the last day for interviews. Not sure what that means, but I think in past years some have been accepted without interviews as well. Good luck to everyone here, I have been reading and re-reading a lot of your posts and it has been a support.

Cool, what concentration? Also, tomorrow is Friday, haha.

Hello all. I have been following everyone’s posts for a long time now. I never intended to post here but I’d like to talk to people who are going through the same things as I am instead of annoying my friends and family for a change.

I am a producing applicant from the U.S. I interviewed with Columbia on 2/19. I got a call today that I am wait listed. I was feeling really down when I found out that the producing program had sent out calls for acceptance two weeks ago. But today’s call really uplifted my spirits especially because I haven’t heard good news from other schools. While I’m a big fan of the other schools I applied to, Columbia quickly became my first choice when I started doing extensive research into the programs. It honestly seems like a perfect fit for me. I’m in love with it so I really hope there is more good news to come over the next few weeks.

But anyway, now that I have bored you all…I just want to say congratulations to everyone for going through this process. It’s hard and competitive. The waiting and wanting is very stressful and it’s clear that this is so important to all of us. I love passionate people. If you haven’t heard anything or things aren’t looking up, just have faith and stay positive and most importantly, stay RESILIENT. Good luck everyone! Hope to meet many of you in the future!
