#goodluck #staysafe
I was just accepted! In my interview they told me more acceptances would come out through early April!
I'm noticing a pattern in applications where people rejected from LMU are accepted to Chapman and people accepted to Chapman are rejected from LMU. Has anyone else noticed that pattern?
To me both schools' application processes emphasized different qualities. Like LMU seemed more interested in individuality and unique qualities and Chapman seemed more interested in demonstrated skill.
Thought it was interesting how they seemed to contradict each other in users' reported results.![]()
If i were you, i would choose chapman. They possess better equipment and reputation, more inportantly, their Film company can provide many opportunities for students.Interesting, I hadn't noticed that pattern. Personally, I was accepted to both LMU and Chapman (for editing though). I'm actually trying to decide between the two and I'd love to hear any advice/insight people might have.
My personal choice would be LMU but I'd agree that Chapman is maybe more prestigious or better equipped. I liked LMU because the campus felt really small and close knit, it's in LA which is a huge plus for me, and from my talk with my interviewers they don't think of their students as academic machines at all and they really cultivate their individuality. I'm sure all these great programs do but LMU just felt especially warm and welcoming. And their program is really production heavy and you end up with hefty reel.Interesting, I hadn't noticed that pattern. Personally, I was accepted to both LMU and Chapman (for editing though). That's my two cents. But my plan is to go to USC since I got in but LMU has a very special place in my heart.![]()
