LMU MFA Applicants 2014/2015

I posted this on another thread, but I figured I would post here too - I was accepted to LMU on thursday. One of the professors called me and told me that I was accepted to the feature screenwriting program. I'm super excited, and I hope you all hear soon! I'm eager to get to know some possible future classmates! I've also applied to Chapman, USC, UCLA, Columbia, NYU, and BU. I was also accepted to Long Island University's MFA in writing and producing for television back in December.

What can I say! Congrats!! You are awesome!! Hope you get in to the other schools as well!! LMU's writing program is top notch in the country, even the world!! I applied to Production program. Fingers crossed!!

Couple notes for the MFA Production program: heard today that the admissions committee is still working out decisions. They've apparently seen a huge spike in applicants (up 50% from last year). LMU is definitely on the rise!

I agree. I have a feeling that by this time next yr the WPTV applications will also rise significantly.

I haven't heard anything. Getting even more nervous. I wish I knew more of what was going on with WPTV. Need a distraction haha.

Anybody hearing anything from LMU? I hear this year they've received a great deal of applications. So the competition must be tough. Hope I can have a chance to get in. God bless us all!!!

I was accepted by phone a couple weeks ago. I just received my official acceptance letter in the mail, and they want my deposit by March 11th, which is next week. I wasn't expecting it to be that soon, because I haven't heard from other programs I have applied to. There is a very good chance I will be attending LMU, but that still seems a little early to me... especially since I only received my letter today.

That is really fast. :S I haven't gotten word and I e-mailed them asking if decisions are still going to be made or if they are done (if a waitlist is in progress, etc). Hopefully, I'll hear back soon.

What program did you apply to?
