Based on forums from years past, they don't usually come all at once.

I hope that's true for this year as well. I sent a play so maybe they haven't sent out the emails for all concentrations?
hi! i also sent a play and haven't heard anything, but someone on a playwriting forum reported that they got an interview request this afternoon. possible that they are still going out then, and if it was concentration-based then it would seem maybe the playwriting ones are on a slightly later schedule...? who knows!

hey, can I ask what playwriting forum?

Hope everyone’s interviews went well! I had mine this morning- does anyone know when we should expect to hear back?
Since it sounds like they're running a week behind this year due to a quirk/change in their semester, and since decisions came on March 12th last year, I'd loosely expect them around next Wednesday the 19th. Who did you interview with? Was it fairly relaxed or more probing? It sounds like they really grill you over on the grad film side--asking you to come up with story ideas on the fly and such!

They're actually more like a week and a half off last year's pace . . . so, I'd say between the 19th and the 23rd? Roughly. They probably want to get these out before the end of the month so they can do an admitted students day at the beginning of April. And give folks a couple weeks to decide before April 15th. If they wait too long, people who got in elsewhere are going to get increasingly comfortable with the idea of going to other programs--seeing themselves there, starting to work out logistics, etc.

What did your interview consist of? Was it mostly about your written submission or was more of a get to know you interview? If you don’t mind me asking.
I interviewed with James and it was really relaxed and conversational. Wasn’t a raking over the coals session at all. There was a bigger focus in creating a “tapestry” with their admitted applicants (diverse backgrounds, interests, writing styles, etc.) My advice is to relax and be yourself. I was so anxious for no reason

That's comforting to hear. You can only faceplant so hard when it's just "conversational"--haha. And it sounds like it went well for you, too. Best of luck!
