Will film schools in US reject applicants who already hold an MFA in film production in another country because of the double degree issue?

Hi! I want to apply to films schools in US but because of my immigration issues, I have to stay in Canada for at least 2 to 3 years... I could use this period of time to complete a graduate degree in Film Production (MFA) in Canada or in the worst scenario, complete a second degree in Film Production.

My question is, do film schools in US accept any applicants who already hold a MFA in Film Production somewhere else? As it is my ultimate goal to study filmmaking in US, it would be such an important decision to make...

Sorry for just seeing this post - I honestly don't know. I guess one could call a couple and ask?

Although considering I'm just seeing this post 3 years later - I presume you got your answer?
