2015 Interviews - Acceptances - Rejections

@JakeHannaford - Thanks for the info! Have you received an interview from them yet...or anyone to say the least? I've heard nothing from them, nor have heard back from admissions regarding this question.
No interview, though last year it looks like they interviewed only applicants whose first language was not english. I could be wrong, but that's what it appeared to be. Many people who were accepted last year were not interviewed.

Great, thanks for letting me know! You guys are good about digging through and deducing what's going on. lol

Also...hows the standing for you and schools? You seemed to be hot on the market with all the interviews? :)

I received my rejections USC and NYU, but still waiting on UCLA, LMU and Columbia. I think its safe to say that UCLA and Columbia are No's.

Got my rejection letter from USC Screenwriting in the mail today. I'm a bit bummed, but at least I won't have to be 50 grand in debt! Congrats to everyone who got accepted! I'm sure you guys all had stellar portfolios!

I checked my application with LMU this morning and it now says "Pending" instead of "Referred." A decision has been made on your application. So what does that mean exactly? If I'm getting rejected, why waste a tree and tell me that. So many questions with hardly any answers.

Mine still says "referred".

Rejected without interview from NYU and USC, but interviewed at Columbia and UCLA. Also applied to Chapman and LMU, no word from them yet.

Hello guys,

I just received a mail from an "admission specialist" at LMU asking for a convenient time to set up a skype call to inform me the decision of LMU’s admission committee. Does this mean I am in? I am confused. I mean no university would take the pains to set up a skype call to inform about my rejection. I applied for the MFA program in film and TV. Has anyone else received a similar mail? I am curious to know How LMU is in general. Should I consider it? Need some advice. Someone please help.

What exactly did they say to you?

So I am guessing you are interested in whether they said anything that might shed light into their admission process? If not, let me know. Nothing really stood out that seems like it would be that helpful - But basically, congrats and I would receive an official email in the next few days and later the official packet in the mail. They also said they would be offering me money. Finally, they said don't hesitate to reach out with questions and that they have Spring Break coming up next week and they wanted to notify me before then.

I am not sure where to check the status of my application online to see if it has changed - but would be happy to do so if I could figure it out.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for the update! my.lmu.edu is where people check their status. I believe at some point after receiving your app you should have received an email detailing how to register for my.lmu.edu.

Thanks for that - not sure how I missed it.

My application status says - "Referred"
Thanks, and congrats! Funny how yours says referred and you heard from them, while some say "decision reached" and haven't heard. Mine still says referred. I just know the last hit I got from LMU on my two minute story was on Friday.

I received exactly the same email ... are you also International? They may be testing our English?? I will post again on here after the Skype call to clarify.
