-Favorite album

1. Go back to Italy and sleep a lot. Ha Ha. No ok, I would love to complete a photographic book that I am creating about all my travels.

2. More difficult to say than my fav films. I would say CLASSICS by Ratatat. Lately my fav is TRON legacy by Daft Punk though. I have many fav songs rather than albums...

I'll come up with some more later.

So guys...considering the change in the phrasing on the website (from "on or around the 23rd" to "decisions will be made by the 23rd")...think there is any chance that the calls will be made also this week? Just thinking out loud.

Now I start to be consistently nervous.

More fun questions!

Top 3 Worst Movies:

Sphere
Superman IV
Glitter

Yes, I believe in ghosts.

Favorite scene from a movie: Schindler's List when the little girl with the red coat is wandering through the town.

The one movie I hate that everyone I know seems to love is: The Notebook.

(I don't really hate it--I just think it's overrated. Everyone talked about how they cried at the end. Not me!)

Congrats, moonfullofstars!

So, the applicants are actually narrowed down to forty.... looks like the final decisions are gonna be made pretty soon!

Fingers crossed for everyone!

Hi folks,

I'm late on this wagon, but after reading a little of the forum, it looks like everyone has a lot to look forward to.

Max, best wishes to you on your interview!
moonfullofstars, congrats!
Witt, crossing my fingers with you!

Have any of you thought about how you're going to pay for the Stark program or any other Producers program? Loans? Scholarships? FAFSA?

I know education is considered to be a good debt, but the thought of all that money still scares me.

Thoughts?

Hi all! New to the forums here (I can't believe I didn't know these existed before).

First, congrats to moonfullofstars! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed with everyone!

I got my call yesterday. Spoke with Mr. Turman who informed me that it was down to the top 35 and he wanted to chat with me for a bit. Needless to say, I was rather floored when I got his call. I had been fully preparing myself to NOT get any calls on the 23rd (aside from nervous relatives of course, haha) let alone beforehand.

He was very sure to reiterate that I could very well not be admitted into the program this year and I should be prepared for that. We also talked a little bit about my essay answers for 1)Why stark? and 2)What will you do if you don't get in?

That's about it. Now, the worrying intensifies (I swear it's much worse now then before I got the call because I had just managed to reign in my worrying, haha).

Anyways, wanted to share what I could and wish everyone the BEST OF LUCK!!! Also wanted to remind everyone of what Mr. Turman told me, it's not the end of the world if you don't get in. You can ALWAYS apply again for next year, try different programs, etc.

So, fingers crossed everybody! Let's hang in there!

Thanks again everyone for the kind wishes!

oHaiZZ , congrats!

Just out of curiosity, what time did you get your phone call? I'm looking at my call history to double check, my call came at around 3:00pm and lasted for 5 minutes. I was just curious because you said that he told you in your phone call that they're down to 35. In my phone call, he said that they were deliberating with the last "about 40" applicants left.

Thanks and CONGRATULATIONS!!! Even if you don't get in, you'll get wait listed and you can find a way to get off that wait list!

Thanks! We're not out of the woods yet but hopefully we can at least get on that wait list! Do we know what the success rate is for the wait list?

Actually, to be more specific, he called me at 3:30 on Monday and left a message (I get horrible phone reception in the office so naturally, I missed the call) and asked me to call him back Tues afternoon. I called him back around 2PM and had an 8 minute conversation with him. He said the number 35 specifically at one point and then said that 10 of the finalists would not be admitted. That's about all I know. :)
