If you want to study cinematography, I don't think CCC is a good choice. A negative review on the filmschool.org is related to this.

Yes, I'm pretty certain that cinematography is what I wanna go for in the future. That's something I'm 100% sure about which is why CCC doesn't seem like a good option but some of the factors like ranking, location, and networking also play a huge role. But you're right. Could you maybe direct me towards that review you read?

I have to say, FSU's response speed to emails is quite slow. Last time I emailed them with a question, I waited for over a week

I'm gonna send them a follow-up email but I don't have high hopes because I emailed DePaul for financial aid as well but they straight up declined.

What's confusing about this is how there's a review of a person recommending this school after the one asking not to go. Also, he's right about the 1 lighting class. When I was being interviewed, I asked them about cinematography-focused classes and they said they only had one which is taught by David, I suppose the one who hosted the info session. That's a bummer

He said" A former peer hoping to become a cinematographer was told directly "You came to the wrong place." They dropped out after the first semester. Instead of being equipped with hands-on knowledge and skills for our films, you are forced to seek out undergraduates who are trained in specific programs to use equipment/facilities, and MAYBE they'll work with you if they're not already swamped with their own work."

I think the reasons for not recommending should be more comprehensive than the reasons for recommending. Besides, I think it's another David, the David who usually responds to our emails during sessions.

Ohio offered a full tuition waiver. I'm honestly considering these two because of the cost attached to it.

Just read someone say 'Free is hard to argue with' so I've been constantly thinking about that.

Free is hard to argue with and they offer cinematography which is good. OU's rep used to be active on the site.

That’s exactly what put me off about CCC. There are so many negative reviews that it’s hard to tell if there’s even a single person who likes going to CCC.

And you’re right, Chris. Even if OU is a bad school, at least I won’t be paying for it out of my own pocket and maybe can transfer later lol
