The producing program !Congrats! You got an interview for the directing program?
If you do let us know what they sayNot received anything. Could I send an email to ask for my status?
Have you seen these?? I cannot find anybody on the forum talking about their producers program interview from last year.
I haven’t seen anyone get an interview for the directing programNothing since 11/01/2022 for me. I kinda feel it’s a rejection already, if nobody else got informed to interview.
??If you guys saw the warning from a thread last year, that could be the reason
I’m not panicking until others start receiving interview invitations for the directing programIf you guys saw the warning from a thread last year, that could be the reason
Nice info. Thanks!hey friends ! I had my interview so I thought I could give some insight even just for the generation to come because I wish I had read this.
So first of all, they are going to ask the questions they send in your notification letter. They are going to ask all of them, and in that exact order (will stop you in your answer if too long to ask all questions). And what is expected is that you talk for 2-4 min for each questions so prepare each of them (make notes but don’t read them, just bullet point so it’s natural obv).
This year, one of the questions was to prepare a list of film and be able to talk about one. I believe the same question was asked last year. They are going to tell you to choose, so they won’t impose you a film. You could prepare them all in case they change that, but honestly I would have liked knowing bc preparing my points for the entire list was what took me the most time in my prep.
The people who are going to interview you are the heads of the department. So for me it was head + (former) dean + manager, and a professor who will ask the questions.
They are the absolute nicest. They were trying to make me feel comfy, they were nodding to show that they were listening, making nice comments just to make me feel confident. They do ask some more questions, I guess it depends on what you say. They’ve asked like 3-4 additional questions to me, and they were very very easy one (I think just to make you feel comfy, again).
I think my only advice is to be yourself, be excited and be prepared. Overall it was just such a fun moment.
Oh and they said they will send the acceptation notice in 3-4th weeks of march !
thanks for the detailed info! may I ask you are applying to the producing/directing program or the producer program?hey friends ! I had my interview so I thought I could give some insight even just for the generation to come because I wish I had read this.
