Anyone have any hints or tips on how to get accepted into this program?. I am curious to see how many people applied to the Stark program for Fall 2016. I applied already and the interview with Richard Shepherd, went well but you never know. How do they select the candidates, based on what? Anyone knows if contacting the faculty can help out with the selection?

Personally I do not know the answer about contacting faculty. I would imagine not but if you knew someone it couldn't hurt I'm sure. Where are you from?

Hi, guys! I have applied the Stark program for 2016 fall semester!
I came from China, attended a college in U.S.
I graduated from UCLA with double majors on humanities. Based on my experience, it is more like I should apply for the screenplay writing, but I applied the Stark program.
I wondering how many ppl applied the program on this years? And are you guys already in the industry or not?

I suggest replying to those threads as well and seeing if you can get the people watching those threads to reply here with the answers you need. There should be a wealth of information buried in those posts as well.

Hi Jose, I'm pretty sure they recommend the same to all applicants. I believe around 400 people apply each year and only 25 are accepted.

Hi guys! I also applied to the Stark program as well as UCLA's producing program. I recently got invited for a second interview last week Thursday and it'll take place this Thursday (January 28th). It's been pretty quiet on the forums, so I was just wondering if anyone has heard the same. In fact it's been so quiet on here that I am getting incredibly nervous that they asked me for another interview lol

Haven't heard anything yet. I didn't think that Stark interviewed before February but yeah looks like they're starting early this year.

Congrats! I was also contacted on Thursday about a second interview, and was also kind of freaking out since it's been super quiet on here and it's pretty early compared to recent years haha. Let me know how it goes! Mine is during the first week in February. Maybe they just got through applications faster this year and decided to start on interviews sooner?

Anyways, hey everyone! I've been stalking this thread a bit, but here's a little bit about me: Domestic applicant, first letter of last name is in the middle of the alphabet, and haven't applied for scholarships yet, planning on doing that this week! What did everyone think of the app? I had the most difficulty with the most emotional moment essay, I think I rewrote it 4 times before I was satisfied.

Hi everyone!

My first interview lasted for around 20 minutes I believe. I had my second interview as well, but it was much shorter, I'd say 10 minutes.
