Has anybody interviewed with UCLA for screenwriting yet? It seems to have gotten quiet on that front.

I just finished my interview for UCLA screenwriting today. It was very relaxed and comfortable. The one thing that surprised me was he asked me to pitch a movie, mine or otherwise. By reading the previous posts I thought that was just for production/directing degrees, but I guess not. I'm glad I semi prepared for that.

I keep having adrenaline rushes when I read over the posts, lol.

I believe I previously posted about a cal arts interview. I have a scheduled skype interview for next week, and they stated it would only be 10-15 minutes long. Seems like there's only a few on here that applied as well.

Nonetheless, my USC application still says its up for review. UCLA, NYU and Columbia...still nothing.

Again, congrats to all that got accepted and good luck to the ones with upcoming interviews.

Just received a rejection from NYU's Directing MFA... I assumed this would happen since I applied to some directing and some screenwriting programs.

So far:

USC (Writing for Screen & TV) - Accepted
NYU (Production/Directing) - Rejected, No Interview
Columbia (Screenwriting/Directing) - Waiting
UCLA (Production/Directing) - Waiting

Congratulations on USC! I'm also waiting on NYU like @JakeHannaford . Fingers crossed! No news is good news - my new mantra! Jake, congrats on UCLA!!

It was in NYC. It went well, I hope! Basically it seemed like they were seeing who I was as an applicant.

@RSY now you have me paranoid!! Debating whether or not I should delete my post/account! Haha.
